Socials
I did not expect to write about social media as often as I do. But building in public turned out to be one of the more honest tests of whether an idea actually holds up, and LinkedIn in particular has become a strange, useful, occasionally humbling place to find that out.
This page is where I keep the lessons from actually doing it, including the ones that cost me. I have posted things that landed well for reasons I did not fully understand at the time, and I have made a mistake that cost real reach and had to sit with exactly why it happened instead of pretending it did not. I would rather write the honest version of that story than another generic list of posting tips.
Underneath the platform mechanics, the real subject is presence: how a builder, an engineer, or a technical leader shows up online in a way that reflects the actual work rather than a performance of it. Find my links to LinkedIn and Facebook in the footer of every page if you want to see how that plays out in practice, and check back here as I add more.
